Filmspace based at Guildford Library is looking for some brave children to join in and get creative.
We are organizing a two-part filming workshop for children aged 9-13 to fill in the summer days – you are welcome to come to both or just book one day – you decide which you would like to do.
On Tuesday 13 August we will be creating a story and then filming it, using the Filmspace equipment – two sets of padcasters we have at our disposal. If you are interested in learning how to work on your own scenario, direct the crew, film and act – this is for you! During the three hours of filming workshops we will work hard to make it all happen.
On Tuesday 20 August we will be focusing on the editing process. Please be aware that we only have two computers with the editing software, so you need to choose your 1-hour slot. During this time, you will have an opportunity to see some of the footage from the previous week’s filming and learn how to edit it.
Note to parents: Please be aware that we would like to publish the movie using the Surrey Libraries social media accounts. We will ask you to complete a photograph and film consent form. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or if you would like to see the form earlier.
The workshops will be provided at Guildford Library by a DBS checked volunteer and two staff members.
