On Tuesday 30 April we had our first meeting to discuss ideas for new projects and get to know the equipment and each other. We are very excited to start working on our film project and we hope to meet every Wednesday for six weeks, between 10.30am and 12.30noon.

If you would like to join in - please contact Library Information Services on libraries@surreycc.gov.uk or come along to Guildford Library on Wednesday 2 May!

The Guildford Library Film Studio - Filmspace is now open!

Filmspace is a chance for you to try out your filming skills and create a video. We have bought a couple of Padcasters (image below) and would love for you to come in and help us to work out how we can best support the Guildford community with Filmspace. We are particularly interested in working with children and start-ups so contact us if you are running your own business and looking for new ways to promote it.

We welcome everyone - beginners and experienced film makers.

If you are interested, fill in the expression of interest form.

Help us to explore how we can use Padcasters for the following:

  • getting started with YouTube
  • start-up promotion
  • stop-frame animation for children
  • creative iPad techniques

If you would like to book a session or find out more about how you can get involved, please contact us on libraries@surreycc.gov.uk
