Guildford Library Monthly Maker Club will not be running on Tuesday 2 April, and will be taking a break over the next few months. We apologise for the short notice cancellation, but we will be back later in the year with more maker activities.
- First Tuesday of each month, 3pm–6:30pm.
This is a drop-in club, held in the Makerspace room (3rd floor) of Guildford Library, aimed at giving you the opportunity to try out the tech kit we have; teach yourselves (with minimal support) about it; develop your maker ideas and share your making enthusiasm and knowledge with others.
We want to emphasise that this club isn't a teaching event (like the Arduino course or other workshops we've run) as it will be focused on self-learning. It's primarily aimed at adults, but anyone aged 12 and over will be welcome. As it's a drop-in session you can turn up and leave at any time between 3pm and 6:30pm.
We have the following kit for you to use, and with your input we want to expand on this:
- 3D printer
- Silhouette Cameo paper cutter
- Makey Makey (x2)
- Raspberry Pi (x4)
- Ozobots (x4)
- Little bits kits
- Mbot Meccano Meccanoid programmable robot
We also have a range of maker, coding, and electronics books available for you to browse.
Bring a laptop if you can, although a handful will also be available.
